Recreation Board Creation 2008
The Enoch City Recreation Advisory Board is a special committee formed to help the City manage its parks, trails, recreation facilities, and recreational property.
In simple terms, their job (or duties) is primarily to advise the City on how to run, maintain, and plan for all the city's recreation areas.
The duties include:
  • Setting Goals and Direction: Recommending the overall purpose, aims, and both short-term and long-term plans for the city's parks, trails, and recreational facilities.
  • Creating Rules: Suggesting policies and procedures for how these facilities operate. This includes recommending specifics like admission fees and the hours facilities are open.
  • Managing Money: Giving advice on the budget and regularly checking the operations and financial health of any existing recreational facilities.
  • Design and Future Planning: Making design suggestions for facilities when delegated by the city. These suggestions are based on factors like the space needed, available funding, and whether the design is cost-effective. They also look ahead to see if the city might need new facilities later.
  • Promotion: Recommending a plan for marketing the facilities, including the specific design and content of promotional materials.
  • Special Projects: Taking on any other related tasks regarding the city's recreational property (parks, trails, etc.) that the City Council specifically assigns them.
