SR-130 Improvements Update

Crews are 15% finished with the project. Here's a roundup of the project impacts and activities.

This afternoon eastbound Midvalley Road will be opened and traffic will be flowing in a normal pattern.

Starting Wednesday night, June 10, traffic control personnel implemented a traffic detour on westbound Midvalley Road at 600 East. Traffic will travel north to Churchfield Lane and then back to SR-130. This will allow for additional storm drain and utility upgrades and the completion of the temporary roundabout.

Traffic on SR-130 near the new roundabout will be moving through a slight curve to the West giving additional space to crews working on westbound Midvalley Road.

More excavation work will be intermittent on SR-130 as crews work on the shoulders of the road.

Building the new northbound off-ramp at Exit 62 will be starting in the coming weeks.

Remember to put your phone down, be alert and reduce your speed.

Environmental crews have installed and will maintain environmental protections for the duration of the project. 

Crews are working from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of 2021*.
