Cemetery Policies

Decoration policy
Enoch City wants you to be able to remember and celebrate your loved ones, and we recognize that flowers and decorations are an important way to do this. To balance the wishes of family members with the need to keep the cemetery looking nice and running smoothly, the following policies apply:

All decorations and flowers must be placed on the headstone or concrete border, not in the grass.
Shepherd’s hooks and other metal stakes or decorations are allowed only in the cement mow strip and not the grass around the grave.
Glass jars, glass vases, rocks, and bark chips are not permitted.
Individuals may not plant trees, bushes, or flowers or disturb the sod around the grave.

Cemetery Cleanup Policy

The city will remove ALL grave decorations and flowers from headstones, vases, and concrete borders one week before Memorial day, Independence Day, and Veteran's Day.
Dead foliage and decorations that are worn or unsightly are removed once a month.
The mowing season begins April 1st and lasts through around the end of October. Any decorations outside of the headstone area during mowing season will be removed.
Enoch City is not responsible for grave decorations that are removed, damaged, or stolen.

Miscellaneous Policies

No animals are allowed in the cemetery at any time unless they are contained in an enclosed motor vehicle.
Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to be in the cemetery unless accompanied by an adult.

Purchasing a Plot

Those wishing to purchase a plot are advised to check the Enoch City Cemetery Viewer by clicking the link below. The information in this viewer is relatively accurate and kept up to date. Blue graves are available (except Blocks E and F). Yellow graves are not available. Updates are ongoing.
Once you have chosen your plot, you can make your purchase by contacting the city office.

Veterans Memorial

Enoch City Veterans Memorial is a result of the efforts of Enoch residents, Veterans Of Foreign Wars, and Enoch elected officials. Initiated by resident Ruth Hill in 2000, the monument pays tribute to Enoch residents who have sacrificed their lives to safeguard our way of life.
Special Thanks to: Ruth Hill, Wayne Dykstra, Barbara Dykstra, Janice Grimshaw, Chris Grimshaw, Wayne Grimshaw, Dee Wilcken, Mary Heaton, Carma Maxwell, Hilda Grimshaw, Gaylen Matheson, Earl Gibson, Ray Ross, Mayor Vern Grimshaw, Council Members Norm Grimshaw, Clara Pickett, Neal Curtis, Rick Bonzo, and Hammond Brinton.

In partnership with local organizations and the city, our cemetery offers special opportunities to commemorate loved ones throughout the year on special holidays, such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Wreaths Across America, and more.

Flags being placed on graves at Enoch City Cemetary

On Memorial Day, Independence day, and Veteran's day, individual flags are posted at the graves of all veterans interred at the Enoch city Cemetery.

The Bald Eagle Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) holds a "Wreaths Across America" ceremony each December to place wreaths on the graves of Enoch City veterans during a patriotic program similar to the ceremony at Arlington Cemetery honoring our military heroes.

A family member can lay a wreath on the grave of their veteran during this program. Please get in touch if you are/have a family member that would like to participate.
